The Climate Action Innovation Zone

Organised by Climate Action, the Innovation Zone is a powerful example of the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing the climate emergency. The Innovation Zone is placing innovation and investment at the heart of COP27 to accelerate the pathway to net zero and achieve a just transition.

Building on the success of the Innovation Zone at COP26, the 2022 Climate Action Innovation Zone in Sharm El Sheikh will be an impressive 6,000m² structure, built just 300 metres from the Blue Zone, creating an impactful, action-orientated space focused on bringing together governments with non-state actors to drive collaboration and innovation for climate action.

From 1,000-person conferences to private meeting rooms and exhibition pavilions, partners can utilise the accessible, impact-driven Innovation Zone throughout their time at COP as a venue to convene and to amplify their messaging.

Our goal is to accelerate the transition to a global green economy by helping to achieve the aims of the Paris Agreement and the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Our digital and live event platforms build tangible partnerships between business, government, UN agencies and NGOs with 120,000 subscribers globally.

For the last 12 years, Climate Action has run the Sustainable Innovation Forum (SIF) at COP - widely recognised as the largest multi-stakeholder side event at the annual UN Climate Change Conference - with a strong focus on the role of the global business community in creating the systemic change we need.

The Innovation Zone concept was conceived and created by Climate Action at COP26 and we are delighted to be building on its success with a bigger, more impactful Climate Action Innovation Zone at COP27. Please join us and be part of the action!
