How Organisations can Grow and Thrive with Nature

16 Nov 2022
Climate Challenge Lab
Week 2

With over 50% of the world’s GDP dependent on nature and its services, it is important to offer policymakers, businesses, and investors metrics, tools, and a common language to loop biodiversity in daily decisions and practice.

As the complexity of nature and biodiversity requires an open innovation approach to better assess nature-related risk and opportunity management and disclosure, the TNFD framework could help push the dial. This session will discuss how to best balance science and clear metrics that enable stakeholders to inform their strategy, governance, risk management, and investment decisions.

This challenge explores:

  • How to value and better disclose nature-related risks and opportunities?

  • How to develop joint solutions that equally serve mitigation and adaptation goals?

  • How to develop nature-related targets at the global, national and local levels to encourage coordinated action?

  • How to link finance and investments to risk and opportunities?

  • What biodiversity tells us about ecosystems and network organisations
